The Candover factor
Every Candover deal is unique but the businesses we back share key attributes: high quality management, a strong market position and real growth potential.
We are looking for investments that can achieve substantial capital growth on exit, either through an IPO or trade sale.
Our focus is on deals of €500 million to €5 billion, and we look to commit between €150 million and €500 million to each transaction. We always invest in partnership with management, who are incentivised through meaningful equity stakes.
Where larger equity commitments are needed, we can call on the resources of our limited partners – investors in our funds – to invest directly alongside us.
Usually large and often complicated, our deals tend to have an intangible 'Candover factor' that helps us see potential for value creation where others can't.
