Javier Abad joined Candover in 2006. He came from Apax Partners, where he led a number of transactions including DMR Consulting, Wisdom Entertainment and Fractus. Prior to Apax, Javier was a management consultant at A.T. Kearney. Javier is responsible for Candover's investment in Parques Reunidos, and he is also closely involved in Technogym and Ono.

He is a Spanish national and has country responsibility for the Iberian region.  Javier holds a Telecommunication degree from ETSIT and an MBA from IESE.
